Angry Pablo Sussex Ride-Out (28th May)
At Angry Pablo we’ve never taken ourselves, or our riding, too seriously. On the contrary, we believe that cycling is a social sport, and that chasing strava sections and winning races is secondary to the enjoyment of exploring new landscapes, and cafe stops, with your mates.
We’ve also always thought of the relationship between beer and bicycles as being as intrinsic as the link between cycling and coffee. They compliment each other perfectly- as long as beer comes after the riding. With this in mind, we’re excited to announce that we’ve teamed up with one of Sussex’s best independent craft breweries, Arundel Brewery, to create our very own Angry Pablo Pale Ale.
In addition to brewing fantastic craft ales, Arundel Brewery also has a second home in The Brewhouse Project. The Brewhouse Project is perhaps best described as a taproom/cafe/bar that prides itself on being home to some of the best independently crafted ales in Sussex, as well as some great street food and coffee– making it the perfect place to stop and refuel after a long day out on the bike.
To celebrate the launch of this partnership, we’re organising a ‘Ride Out’ from the home of cycling in Brighton- Preston Park Track, to The Brewhouse Project in Arundel, where everyone will receive a complimentary AP Pale Ale. The route is roughly 60km and the pace will be social.
If you don’t want to join us for the ride, but are keen to support two local businesses, then you’re more than welcome to join us directly at The Brewhouse Project from 12pm onwards for great street food, drinks and music.

Ride Date - 28th May
Start Location - Preston Park Velodrome
Meet Time - 9:00AM
*A Brewhouse van is meeting us at Preston Park at the start of the event, so if you want to drop off a rucksack with a change of clothes for after the ride, you are more than welcome to.

The Food
The street food offering will be provided by Slam does Lamb.
Slam Tacos are a Brighton based kitchen offering amazing food and tacos. The chef Sam Lambert is a regular at The Brewhouse Project and frequently offers pop-ups around Sussex.
Getting Home
We plan to make an afternoon of it so will be getting the train back to Brighton from Ford Station (approximately 5km from The Brewhouse Project) in the early evening. It is a direct train and the journey takes 45 minutes. For those who would prefer a quick stop and a longer ride, we suggest riding back to Brighton along the coastal roads (approximately 35km).
